Upcoming concert news: New Edition, Rammstein, Blake Shelton and more
R&B group New Edition reunites for a tour that includes a stop at Mohegan Sun Arena on Feb. 18. Tickets are $39.50 and on sale now through all Ticketmaster outlets and locations including ticketmaster.com and by phone at (800) 745-3000.
Blake Shelton will be at the Mohegan Sun Arena on Feb. 26. The country star arrives with opener Dia Frampton and tickets for the event go on sale Friday, Jan. 6 through Ticketmaster. Tickets are priced at $49.50. Shelton also plays the DCU Center in Worcester on Feb. 23.
German metal lords Rammstein headline the DCU Center on April 29. Tickets are on sale through all Ticketmaster outlets and locations and priced at $78 and $62.50.
Blues guitarist Coco Montoya comes to Infinity Hall in Norfolk, Conn. on March 10. Tickets are on sale Thursday, Jan. 5 through infinityhall.com. Tickets are priced at $40, $30, and $25.
Joan Osborne, who broke out in the 1990s with her hit âOne of Us,â will play Infinity Hall on March 30. Tickets are $77 and $57 and available through infinityhall.com beginning Thursday.
The New England Metal and Hardcore Festival is scheduled for April 20 at the Palladium in Worcester. The three-day event includes music from bands like The Acacia Strain and Black Dahlia Murder on Friday night and Springfieldâs Killswitch Engage on Sunday night. The main event headliner for Saturday is expected to be announced this week. Tickets are $115 for a three-day pass ($40 and $45 for day passes) and are available through tickets.com or by calling (800) 477-6849.
Chris OâBrienâs originally scheduled Jan. 8 show at the Iron Horse has been moved to Thursday. All tickets purchased for the original date will be honored. The Jan. 8 date now belongs to Richard Shindell and Lisa Martin which was moved from Oct. 30. Again, all tickets will be honored.
The Quiet Riot show that had been set for Friday in the Mohegan Sun Wolf Den has now been postponed due to a personal matter with the band. The show will be rescheduled to a date in the near future.
On Thursday, local icon Ray Mason is at the Black Moon Music Lounge on Route 202 in Belchertown. The performance runs from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
The MassMutual Center in Springfield has announced no fewer than three shows in the coming weeks.
First up is Feastival 2012 with hip hop artists Wale and Tyga on January 27 at 8 p.m. They will be joined by Royce da 5â9â and Los. Tickets are priced between $15 and $85.
The Winter White Tour 2012, headlined by Swedish electronic duo Dada Life, arrives on Feb. 23 at 8 p.m. Also on the bill are Hardwell, and Bingo Players.
On Feb. 25, the R&B flavored Ladies Night Out tour arrives at the Springfield arena featuring K-Ci and JoJo, Ginuwine, Case, and Carl Thomas. Tickets are priced between $32 and $62.
